The Girls’ Home started as a community dining room, supported by donations made by O.S.A. UK (Operation South America UK), it was born from a civil initiative named Proyecto Paraguay, formed by four members of the Aldridge Youth Fellowship Church in England, in 2001.
In its early days, OSA UK’s goal was to reach Paraguay and operate in the Chaco region, providing much-needed support to local indigenous peoples. Since the first visit, Mr. Phil Grainger (Founder of OSA), began to organize groups of volunteers from Ireland and the United Kingdom to carry out this initiative and also provide assistance to build churches in less favored sectors of Asunción and Chaco.
Starting in 2007, as the community dining room in Quyquyhó grew, that small group of people in the United Kingdom decided to manage the subsidiary representation in Paraguay and set up an NGO under the name of OSA PY (Operación América del Sur Paraguay) with the focus focused on the care of girls in the Quyquyho home.
In 2012, volunteers from the United States visited the Home for the first time. After falling in love with the home and the vision, these volunteers partnered with OSA PY, and have since visited the home every year promoting volunteerism and helping with fundraising.

In August 2021, OSA UK transfers all the assets and responsibility of the Quyquyho Girls’ Home to the Gracia y Gloria Paraguay Evangelistic Association, a non-profit association, based in Pitiantuta No. 377, Asunción – Paraguay, which is currently the new organization in charge of managing the Home and providing comprehensive care to girls and adolescents.
